Kanye-fidence and why do you need some in 2016

I am a HUGE fan of Kanye West and have been for many years now. And there have been many things that Kanye has contributed in both the music and fashion industry, although he doesn’t seem to get much credit for it. Possibly because his confidence is easily mistaken as arrogance and conceitedness. Yes, Kanye sees himself as an influential and relevant voice in the entertainment industry. And yes, he often speaks highly of himself and has never shown signs of diluting his dreams to fit other people’s comfort or limited amount of self confidence. But does that constitute him as a complete asshole? Is Kanye a bad influence or an intellect that’s too far advanced over the simplest of minds?

When we study or listen to anything that falls under the subject of law of attraction, we are told that we should always speak highly of ourselves, because our subconscious is always listening. When Kanye speaks about his God-given talent, he is no different from when Beyoncé, Michael Jackson or any other pop artist when they have talked about it. What we are good at, what we discover is our purpose in life, is given to us by a higher being. But most of the time, we are so comfortable in our comfort zone that we never push ourselves to our best potential. Kanye has been an example of being great at what we do, speaking out about how great we are and being hated for it. In the center of one of the most infamous interviews of Kanye, Sway in the morning show, Kanye said, “I AM WARHOL! I AM THE NUMBER ONE MOST IMPACTFUL ARTIST OF OUR GENERATION. I AM SHAKESPEARE IN THE FLESH. WALT DISNEY, NIKE, GOOGLE.” Now I recognize what you’re thinking, Kanye was tripping, Kanye is crazy and so on. But the most inspiring, influential figures in all of american history have been called crazy once or twice throughout their lives. You would have to be crazy to believe in yourself. You would have to be completely insane to think of yourself as the best there ever is. You have to sustain some degree of delirium to know that your work, your achievements and your whole existence is something magical. Because to think of yourself as the shit is synonymous to being unhinged, right?

Everyone knows about the PC war between Steve Jobs and Apple versus Bill Gates and Microsoft. And it is no secret that Steve Jobs believed and unapologetically expressed how mediocre he felt Microsoft products were. Back in 1995 Steve Jobs was quoted as followed, “The only problem with Microsoft is they just have no taste. They have absolutely no taste. And I don’t mean that in a small way, I mean that in a big way, in the sense that they don’t think of original ideas, and they don’t bring much culture into their products. I am saddened, not by Microsoft’s success, I have no problem with their success. They’ve earned their success, for the most part. I have a problem with the fact that they just make really third-rate products.” At every passing moment, Steve Jobs did not turn down the opportunity to speak of great confidence of all Apple products. How revolutionary they were and how it would alter the face of technology forever. And to this day 5 years after his passing, Apple products continues to evolve into bigger and more respectable things.

In the astrological aspect, 2016 is a 9 year. (2+0+1+6=9) This is a year of completion. Out with the old and In with the new. And with all closings, are new beginnings. 2016 is a year to finish any projects, work, endeavors that you may have begun but never completed. It is also a year to come to terms and put a end to all bad relationships, friendships, habits, anything that can deter your success for the next year 2017, a Year 1. A year of new beginnings and commitments. Confidence and courage is going to be needed to groom yourself to make these changes. These modifications are not going to hurt you in no way, but rather help you. I followed Kanye’s career for a very long time, and I’ve discovered that in life, you are going to come into a lot of competition. People will approach you with the intent to throw off your confidence and weaken your self-belief. They will do this in order to knock off anyone that they sense is better than they are. That’s not a confidence builder. That is someone who have low self-esteem and lack of belief in themselves. To obtain and maintain confidence, you have to work on not giving a damn about what others say or think about you. You have to consider yourself as the BEST you that there ever will be, because that is your power. There is only one of you in the whole universe. Ultimately you have to keep loving yourself. And who loves Kanye more than Kanye loves Kanye?
