Sup everybody! It’s that time of week again where I will pick one person as my muse of the week. Muse of the week is a weekly post of people who I find invigorating and exciting. Whether they are entrepreneurs, models, vocalists, writers, etc. It is a platform to introduce my readers to people in the industry who are on their daily hustle and grind. Tuesday is international women’s day, in which I’ve decided to dedicated this entire week to strong black women that I am inspired by and aspire to be. Enjoy.
Only this week I chose someone who doesn’t need an introduction, because her name rings superiority all around the world. She is a strong independent woman who has spoken out against sexism, classism in America and most importantly racism. With songs like ‘Q.U.E.E.N’, ‘Cold War’, and ‘Sincerely, Jane’ Janelle Monáe has used her platform to speak OUT against issues that we as black Americans face every single day. March is Women’s History Month and as I partake in my own celebration of women who have indeed altered the face of the industry in one way or another, I salute Janelle on all of the things she has achieved and will continue to support this Q.U.E.E.N.
