How Do you Speak To Your Subconscious Mind?

Foreword: I almost came close to deciding on not writing about my personal life anymore, because I was being attacked because of it. But after a time of contemplation, and talking to some friends and mentors about it, I’ve decided against it. I have readers who actually read and can relate to my thoughts and my life moments. I have always said that my writing is therapeutic for me. If I was to stop writing, I would stop living. It is to tell a singer to stop singing, a dancer to stop dancing, a painter to stop painting, a lover of life to stop loving life. I would not stop expressing myself for as a grown woman I am allowed to. I would do a detriment to my growth and spirituality If I did. I am not a woman of yesterday, but a woman of today and tomorrow. I am that, I am.

Do you realize how powerful your thoughts about yourself are?

How your thoughts can form and structure your life?

Not a lot of people do. In fact, a lot of people don’t realize that wherever they now are, is only a result of their own past thoughts. Some people blame the environment, their upbringing, and life in general. But think about it. How is it that some people seem to have all the luck in the world, while some seem to have none at all? Their mentality is different. Yes, I understand that some people are born rich, but do they die rich? And do poor people die poor? It’s not luck. I promise you, it’s all about their mental state and how they see themselves.

They say that the most powerful phrase that can mold your day (or even life) is whatever you put after the words, “I AM..” I AM….what? Tired? Broke? Ugly? Fat? Stupid? How do you speak to yourself when you are alone? How do you speak of yourself when you are in front of others? Do you realize that your subconscious is ALWAYS listening? Always listening to what you say or what you think about yourself. I realize how hard it is to live a life of positivity when you are not happy or not in the place you would like to be in life. I know how hard it is to pretend or to “Fake it til you make it” until you see results. But it is not about living a fraudulent life. It is not about lying to yourself or others, it is about setting your mind on a frequency level to match the things that you would like to bring into your life. If you wanted to buy yourself a new house or to move into your first apartment, things will never line up for you if you continue to believe that you will never receive it. Or allow other people to think for you.

You have to learn how to program your mind to a positive Vibrational frequency level. And no, it may not be easy–especially living in a very negative world–but it is not impossible. It is almost a necessity in this day and age. What we choose to surround ourselves with, what we choose to expose ourselves to on the daily basis, we become. Negativity begets negativity, and positivity begets positivity. It is impossible to surround yourself with positive thoughts and energy about yourself and your surroundings with a negative state of mind. If you can put yourself in a position of beautiful thoughts, you can see it in a physical sense. To start exposing yourself to inspirational and positivity things, you can start to absorb the positive vibes from it. For example, when I am down and out, I either listen to music or watch a funny stand-up comedy special. When I am down, I can not concentrate on reading long enough to read a book. But when I am listening to music, I can put myself into a self-hypnotizing trance and just listen to the words of the songs. Sometimes, I just listen to Celtic music or classical music. It is all about starting your day off as calm, centered and relaxed as possible. You can easily do that by meditating as little as 10 minutes a day.

In the Bible, Proverbs 18:21 it says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” What this quote means is that you can bring forth both life and death to whatever it is you desire, to your life. It means that your words alone is your sword. Whether you speaking of yourself or others, your words can make or break you. However, You can’t control the destiny of someone else, you only have control over your own destiny. It is said that 90% of our mind is made up of the subconscious mind. 90%! So when you speak of yourself in a negative light, wouldn’t it make sense that the subconscious level of your mind could (and would) bring it to life?

Pretty much what that means is, we have absolutely no direct control over what the subconscious mind stores. It can store good things that you deliberately spend time thinking and talking about, and it can store all the bad things that you tried to avoid but for some reason couldn’t. However, the words YOU speak of yourself does have a direct influence on your subconscious mind. And no matter what the next person says about you, it doesn’t affect your subconscious as long as you don’t let it affect you.  See, we have indirect control, meaning we may not able to control what it stores in it’s little “storage/memory” box, but we do have control over what goes in it.  So why not store good stuff? Never mind the negativity things someone says about you, and never let the negative things you think about yourself sow a seed in your spirit. You have up to  70,000 thoughts a day. You do have control over your thoughts, you truly and honestly do. You may not have control over negative thoughts popping into your head, but you don’t have to allow it to stay there and breed.

Learn how to recognize the negative thoughts from the positive ones, and learn how to replace those negative thoughts immediately with good, positive ones. Start simple with steps by thinking about your goals, visualizing them and imagining them already achieved. Belief goes beyond just thinking that you will be able to do It. True belief taps into your subconscious mind, re-programs it and makes sure you stay on the right path. Your subconscious mind is 30,000 times more powerful than your conscious mind. YOU choose your life and no one else.
