Is there anything Auntie Tracee cannot do?
Apparently not. When she isn’t winning awards for her role as Rainbow Johnson on ABC’s Tuesday nights hit Black-ish, she is living in her truth as Rapping Phenomena TMURDA on Instagram. The Golden Globes winning Actress can now add Designer to her resume, as she collaborates with JCPenney for a line coming November 12.
As a stylish Icon in her own right, Ross began to drop hints of an upcoming fashion venture on her social media accounts. On Monday (October 9), Ross made the announcement that she has a 45-piece collection on the way. “I’m soooooo excited to announce that I’ve partnered with @JCPenney to create a holiday collection that I hope empowers women to embrace their joyful spirit,” she wrote on her Instagram. “Each piece was imagined and designed by me!”
“We are thrilled to bring Tracee’s style to life with her first-ever retail collection,” said Jodie Johnson of JCPenney. “Known for her fresh, bold and confident looks, it’s no wonder that women seek to emulate Tracee’s style. Infused with her unique design aesthetic, the ‘Tracee Ellis Ross for JCPenney’ capsule collection offers an affordable selection of stylish and gift-able items that gives customers another reason to shop us this holiday season.” The price ranges of the collection are considerably reasonable, starting from $29 to $75, and will include sizes for all body types, small to 3X. “JCPenney was a wonderful partner for me as I designed this affordable collection because I truly believe that looking good does not have to cost a lot,” Ross said.
The Collection will be available on Ross’ birthday, November 12.
