‘Elle’ Cancels Its Zoe Kravitz Cover, Shot By Terry Richardson

After the news of famed photographer Terry Richardson being black-listed and banned by Conde Nast (GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, etc), Elle has decided to cancel and reshoot their January cover of Zoe Kravitz.

News broke on Tuesday (October 23) after a leaked email from James Woolhouse, Conde Nast COO stated: “I am writing to you on an important matter. Conde Nast would like to no longer work with the photographer Terry Richardson. Any shoot that have been commission[ed] or any shoots that have been completed but not yet published, should be killed and substituted with other material. Please could you confirm that this policy will be actioned in your market effective immediately. Thank you for your support in this matter.”

The shoot was originally photographed by Richardson, but the  2018 cover of the actress will be re-shot by a different photographer, a decision that was made by Elle’s new editor-in-chief Nina Garcia.
