Rapper Kid Cudi Buys Out Movie Theater, Invites Fans To Star Wars Premiere

After concluding his “Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’” tour last month in Seattle, WA., Kid Cudi went radio silent again, appearing out in public only once with Kanye West in L.A.

On Friday (December 15), Cudi ended his 10-month-long hiatus from social media and posted his first tweet on his twitter account since February. The “Surfin’” rapper uniquely tweeted, “Still happy,” in reference to his last tweet before his social media break, “Happy” posted on February 23rd. The tweet quickly gained over 11K retweets and 22K likes, as fans welcomed the rapper-turned-actor back on Twitter.

Several hours later, Cudi tweeted once again, this time inviting his fans out to watch the new “Star Wars: the last jedi” film, premiering that night in a sold out movie theater in Glendale, California. In the now-deleted post, Cudi invited his fans to watch the movie with himself and his manager Dennis Cummings. The rapper requested that the attending fans come with one of his albums or “some type of OFFICIAL Kid Cudi merch,” in order to receive the free single adult ticket. “Im hyped for this movie and I’d love to see it with you!,” He started. “I bought the entire theater so lets fill it up!! I missed yall! Come Kick it!!”

Kid Cudi fans quickly filled up the movie theater with albums, tour merchandises and other memorabilias in hand. After the movie, Kid Cudi signed autographs and took pictures with those in attendance, who shared the experience on Twitter and Instagram.
