Cameron Dietz is a man of many talents. As an up and coming singer, songwriter, and producer, Dietz is determined to step out and show the world what the South Florida music scene is made of.
Growing up in a musically-inclined family, Dietz always had an interest in music. “We always had a grand piano in the house, because my mom played the piano,” Dietz revealed during a recent interview with Salute magazine. “I didn’t start recording my own stuff until I was 14. I was recording off cell phones. I was just really young and messing around. I just fell in love with it. It’s a way to express myself artistically and I’ve been doing it ever since.”
With his breakout hit, “Hill Valley“, produced by himself, Dietz has received high praises from A-list celebrities including The Hangover’s Ken Jeong and TV/Film actor Jacob Berger. “‘Hill Valley’ seemed to be a frontrunner for people, ” Dietz revealed. “Because it was three songs, people really dig the singles, but “Hill Valley” was a standout so I decided to make a video and it came out pretty cool. It’s been getting a lot of love and it’s just cool to see.” The music video was directed by Miami native Director and Photographer FXRBES. FXRBES has directed for Denzel Curry, Pouya, etc., and has been featured on MTV, BET, WorldStarHipHop, and more.
The single, which is “laced heavily with Back to the Future innuendos,” is about putting more into the relationship and receiving nothing in return, but remembering “the bright future you saw in them” and realizing “that is what kept you moving forward.”
He is currently in Florida working on two albums, an LP and EP, scheduled to drop later this year.
