Florida A&M University (FAMU), a historically Black university located in Tallahassee, and its famous Marching 100 band have many things to be proud of, including being a part of Virgil Abloh‘s posthumous fashion show.

FAMU’s official Instagram account shared a photo of the Eiffel Tower showing that the marching band was out in Paris, France, for Paris fashion week.

“No visit to Paris is complete without seeing the Eiffel Tower,” the post read. “@TheMarching100 is here. It’s gonna get lit. #RattlersInParis#LouisVuitton.”

The latest Louis Vuitton runway show included not only a performance by FAMU’s Marching 100 but also a performance from artist Kendrick Lamar, who rapped a few tracks from his latest album, “Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers,” adding in tributes to Abloh.

The Paris-based fashion house, which presented its Resort 2023 presentation back in December and its spring 2022 “spin-off” menswear runway show in December, showcased its Spring 2023 menswear collection on Thursday, June 23, which takes inspiration from the playful nature of imagination and the creative vision of Virgil Abloh.
